Instructions

How to Download Your Information

  1. Head to the Instagram Accounts Centre on either desktop or through the mobile app.
  2. Press on 'Download your information', then select 'Download or transfer information'.
  3. In the data categories included, only select Following and Follower data
  4. Select 'Download to device'.
  5. Ensure that the format is changed to JSON, and the time frame is set to all time, then create the files.
  6. Note: This process can take a few hours to complete. Once done, check your email inbox for a link to download your information.
  7. Alternatively, you can return to the same page to retrieve your files once the download is complete.

How to Use This Website

  1. Once you have downloaded your ZIP file from Instagram, navigate to the Upload section.
  2. Drag and drop your ZIP file into the dropzone, or click the dropzone to select the file from your device.
  3. The app will automatically extract and analyze your followers and following lists.
  4. Once processing is complete, you'll see:
    • A list of all usernames you follow but who don't follow you back
    • Clickable links to their Instagram profiles
    • Total counts of followers and following
  5. Export your results by clicking the 'Export results as CSV' button to download a spreadsheet with all the usernames and their profile links.
  6. All your data is processed locally in your browser and is never stored or uploaded to any server.

About This Tool

FollowBack Scanner is a client-side web tool that helps you find Instagram accounts you follow who do not follow you back or people that "fan" you.

The tool is built with modern browser APIs and runs completely locally in your browser. It does not send any data to external servers.
